126710BLRO
CurrentGMT-Master II 'Pepsi'
2018 — present
40mm Oystersteel, red & blue Cerachrom bezel. Black dial. Most often on Jubilee bracelet.
The Rolex GMT-Master II was born from a 1954 collaboration with Pan American World Airways, designed to display two time zones simultaneously for transatlantic crews. More than seven decades later, it remains the gold standard of dual-timezone sports watches. The defining feature is the bidirectional rotatable 24-hour bezel, which works in concert with the GMT hand to track a second time zone independently of the main time display. Current references include the 126710BLRO — the 'Pepsi' with red-and-blue Cerachrom bezel on a Jubilee bracelet — and the 126710BLNR 'Batman' with its black-and-blue bezel. The 126711CHNR 'Rootbeer' in Everose gold and brown ceramic represents the pinnacle of the current lineup. Each houses Rolex's Calibre 3285, featuring the Chromalight display and Parachrom hairspring for magnetic resistance. The GMT-Master II is unique in allowing the traveler to independently set the 12-hour local hand without stopping the movement — a genuine functional advantage for international travel.

Buying Guide
01
Both trade in roughly the same price range pre-owned ($14,500–$19,500 with full set). The 'Pepsi' (red/blue) is more visually striking and historically iconic; the 'Batman/Batgirl' (black/blue) is more subtle and easier to wear daily. There's no 'better' choice.
02
All current 126710 references can be ordered on Jubilee or Oyster. Jubilee is dressier and more comfortable; Oyster is sportier and more robust. Jubilee is more popular pre-owned and trades at a slight premium. Both bracelets are user-swappable but require Rolex parts.
03
On the GMT-Master II, the local hour hand should be independently quickset via the crown without affecting the 24-hour GMT hand or the minute hand. Test this on any pre-owned example — incorrect operation indicates calibre damage.
Sizing
The GMT-Master II at 40mm with 47.5mm lug-to-lug fits most wrists from 6.25" up. The Jubilee bracelet adds a 'softer' wrist drape compared to the more rigid Oyster. Stack height of 12.6mm is taller than a Submariner and noticeable on smaller wrists. The Cerachrom bezel adds visual mass — the GMT often wears one size larger than its diameter. Easylink extension provides 5mm of micro-adjustment.
Compare
Same Oyster case family at 40–41mm. Submariner is unidirectional dive bezel; GMT-Master II is bidirectional 24-hour bezel for time zones. Pick GMT for travel; Submariner for diving aesthetic.
The Sky-Dweller (also a 'travel watch') adds annual calendar plus dual time zone via the famous Ring Command bezel. Sky-Dweller is more complicated and dressier; GMT-Master II is the sport-utility traveler.
Explorer II shares the GMT 24-hour bezel concept but in a 42mm case with fixed bezel and orange GMT hand — designed for cave explorers rather than international travellers.
